Spectrum's Shino Glaze 1400 series takes the qualities of traditional Shino glazes and expands the pallet to include a variety of rich colors. The 1400 series Shino Glazes are a range of mid-fire (Cone 5/6) glazes in beautiful multi-tonal satin finish.

They fire to a satiny matte finish at cone 5 or a slightly shinier finish at cone 6. They are designed to break so that you see different shades of color in areas of different thicknesses. The breaking effect becomes more pronounced at cone 6 than cone 5. All are dinnerware and food safe, see individual glazes for toxicity ratings.
